Artist's Statement
Meyer's main focus is painting from life - either out of doors or from still life.
She tries to capture all that is possible from the original scene, with all the sights, sounds and atmosphere there at the time.
She paints simply because she loves to paint. It is exhilarating, fun, daunting, and always challenging work, and she is always pleased when her work makes a connection with the viewer.
Background and Education
She received an AA degree from Pueblo Jr. College in 1953, went back to college and received a BS in Arts Letters & Science, Fine Art Major from the U. of Wisconsin La Crosse in 1976.
She has attended numerous art workshops over the years, and has exhibited in many art fairs.
